Is silicone lube safe to use for anal sex?
Is silicone lube safe to use for anal sex?
Please see my article on anal sex. I tout the virtues of my favorite lube, Eros, until I'm sure some are sick of hearing about it. The thing that makes water based lubes not as good for anal sex is that they soak in easily, causing them to have to be reapplied often and causing friction which could cause pain. Eros is condom friendly, and the reason it is such a good lube is in the structure of the atoms. They are larger than the pores of your skin, making the lube stay on top of the skin. I can't speak highly enoough of Eros, and I know you'll love it. Here's an idea for quick, grab it now lube... If you are in a comitted relationship where you don't use condoms, you may want to try using olive oil, though it is not condom friendly. Whatever you decide about lube, please take a few minutes to read the article on anal sex. It has some great hints in it.
